Fishing
River Lung is 18 miles long with 6 major connecting lakes, rising in Cloonaugh, Urlaur, Erritt, Cloonaholly, Loughglynn, draining into Lough Gara.
The Lung system is a tributary of the Shannon and its sister river the Breedoge. The system is one of the important angling centres in the region and has plenty of fishing to offer.
In the lower reaches it is regarded as very good course fishing, for roaches up to 2lbs, rudd, hybrids, and produces large pike up to 25lbs. There are some trout and bream present depths vary from 2ft to 16 ft.
